KEY POINTS:
The final spot in the All Blacks squad will be filled at midday today, with the World Cup line-up being submitted to the International Rugby Board.
The 30th place in the squad has been left open for a prop since late last month, with Canterbury prop Greg Somerville fighting to prove his fitness.
All Blacks assistant coach Wayne Smith said he has heard Somerville's specialist give the 55 test veteran a favourable report on the nasty eye injury he suffered in the opening round of the Air New Zealand Cup.
If Somerville is not fit, the fourth spot for a prop will go to Wellington's John Schwalger.
Smith has also spoken with Andy Ellis and the medical staff and expects he will recover from his head-knock within the next week.
Medical tests have been delayed until Wednesday. Smith said Ellis is still feeling the effects of the knock that left him dazed at the end of Canterbury's win over Otago in Dunedin and he just needs to take it easy over the next few days before they ease him back into action.
