Hawke's Bay looks set to take some inspiration from France ahead of Saturday's Air New Zealand Cup semi final against Auckland at Eden Park.
Despite the Magpies' form this season becoming a national rugby talking point, they will still be considered a very long shot to beat Auckland - just as France were to beat the All Blacks at the World Cup.
Hawke's Bay CEO Mike Bishop said it is a one off game and self belief will not be a problem for the boys from the Bay.
He said the team will be full of the usual heart, determination and guts and anything can happen.
Auckland beat the Magpies 38 - 11 in their round robin clash.
