KEY POINTS:
PARIS - France first five-eighths David Skrela, who missed the hosts' last two World Cup games because of an ankle injury, should be fit to play in their final Pool D match against Georgia on September 30, the team manager said on Saturday.
"He still has to pass a scan on Tuesday but he should be fit to play," manager Jo Maso told reporters at France's training camp outside Paris.
Skrela tore his left Achilles tendon in France's opening 17-12 defeat by Argentina on September 7 and missed the 87-10 demolition of Namibia and the 25-3 win over Ireland that followed.
Lock Fabien Pelous, who missed Friday's do-or-die match against Ireland in Paris because of a sprained left knee, should also be available for the match against Georgia, Maso added.
Two players, prop Pieter de Villiers and fullback Clement Poitrenaud, received knocks against Ireland in a match France had to win to avoid an embarrassing early exit.
De Villiers has a bruised left thigh while Poitrenaud has a sore right calf muscle but neither injury seems too serious, Maso said.
A win with a bonus point over Georgia would send France through to the last eight but to top their group they need Ireland to beat Argentina by more than seven points and with at least four tries, assuming Argentina get a bonus-point win over Namibia on Saturday.
Otherwise they would finish second and face a likely encounter with the All Blacks in Cardiff for a place in the semi-finals.
The France players will now rest before resuming training on Tuesday.
