PARIS (Reuters) - France captain Raphael Ibanez has been cited for alleged stamping during the World Cup third-place playoff against Argentina on Friday, organisers said on Saturday.
Ibanez was alleged to have stamped on Pumas lock Rimas Alvarez during Argentina's 34-10 victory at the Parc des Princes.
Both players were yellow carded on the stroke of halftime in one of several incidents that broke out between the teams in a hard fought encounter.
