Quade Cooper's little knees-up in Brisbane has made him public enemy number one in New Zealand but the man himself can't see what all the fuss is about.
Cooper's knee to Richie McCaw's head in Australia's Tri Nations' clincher was ruled not-intentional by the judiciary but it was the latest in a series of incidents where the Wallabies' playmaker has come into contact with the All Blacks' captain.
McCaw's head was the target of a Cooper push and spray of invective during Australia's victory over New Zealand in Hong Kong last year but Cooper maintained today that he didn't know if there was any bad blood between the pair.
"I don't know, you'd have to ask him,'' he said. "From my point of view there's not. It's just a matter of he's wearing a different jersey. I've got 14 other blokes on the field who have my back, he's got 14 other blokes on his team that are really looking to dominate us as well.
"I don't know the bloke. I haven't had much to do with him off the field but I know that when he's out on the field he plays his heart out, wears his heart on his sleeve and does a great job of leading the All Blacks around the park.''
