KEY POINTS:
MONTPELLIER - Prop Guy Shepherdson is the only Australia player still doubtful for their opening rugby World Cup match against Japan.
There was some concern about the availability of captain Stirling Mortlock who aggravated a back problem in training but Australia coach John Connolly said he had been cleared to play.
"At the moment we're OK. The minor injury worries we've had, everyone's fit for selection," Connolly told reporters.
"The selectors have met already and we've pencilled in the side to be announced on Wednesday.
"There's a little bit of tinkering I suppose in a couple of positions where some players may get a run, which normally we don't do."
Lock Mark Chisholm and reserve halfback Sam Cordingley missed Tuesday's training run but neither was expected to be chosen in the starting side for Australia's opening game on Sunday (NZ time).
The Wallabies will name a full strength squad for the Pool B match with Japan in Lyon although the selectors are still undecided about who will start at tighthead prop after Shepherdson hurt his leg in practice.
"In our minds we've bracketed Shepherdson and Al Baxter and we'll make the decision probably Tuesday (Wednesday) night," Connolly said.
Australia have never lost to Japan and are overwhelming favourites to win again but Connolly played down suggestions the Wallabies would romp to victory.
"You build into the tournament. As long as you get the result that's the main thing at this stage," he said.
"We want to pay Japan all the respect, otherwise you never know."
