It was a moment where even the most powerful man in New Zealand realised his limits.
Prime Minister John Key got a first-up impression of what the Springboks had to counter at Twickenham this morning when man mountain All Black Sam Whitelock sidled over to shake his hand.
It's almosta case of Andre the Giant meeting a tiny woodsman as Whitelock towers over the PM who visited the All Blacks in their dressing room immediately after the narrow 20-18 semi-final win over South Africa in London.
The PM was undoubtedly congratulating Whitelock on his match-turning lineout steal off Springbok veteran Victor Matfield late in the game which helped swing the semi New Zealand's way.
The dinner-plate sized hands of the All Black star virtually swallowed Key's hand and the PM will be glad it was the Springboks who had to ward off Whitelock.
