The All Blacks selectors have confirmed there are still a handful of spots up for grabs in the Rugby World Cup squad.
17 players have been released from the current squad to play for their ITM Cup provinces over the next couple of weeks as the 31-man squad for the UK is finalised.
Selector Grant Fox said they're close to confirming the make up of the group.
"There's still a chance for one or two people, still a little bit of debate going on and touch wood we don't get anymore injuries because that could affect things a little bit."
Fox said they're having some rigorous discussions around some positions, including "three or four locks, five or six loosies, front row makeup, and obviously a lot of the balance in the midfield back three combination."
