Having played more than 470 matches the All Blacks have scored many noteworthy tries and here we focus on the best.

Great tries:

1960: Peter Jones vs South Africa
The only try in a famous 11-5 win over the touring Springboks, Jones also made headlines with his use of language in a post-match interview.

1971: Ian Kirkpatrick vs British and Irish Lions
Ian Kirkpatrick, one of Poverty Bay's favourite sons, thundered down Lancaster Park swatting off Lions to score one of the great All Black tries.

1987: John Kirwan vs France
John Kirwan's try in the Rugby World Cup 1987 final vividly illustrated the style and strategies of his All Blacks side.

1995: John Lomu vs England
The try which has come to most exemplify the extraordinary impact Jonah Lomu had on the 1995 World Cup came after just two minutes in the semifinal against England in Cape Town.

1997: Christian Cullen v Australia
Christian Cullen's astonishing try at Carisbrook against the Wallabies in the Tri-Nations test of 1997 was but one of many remarkable aspects of what was a somewhat freakish test.

2000: Jonah Lomu v Australia
Jonah Lomu the "rhinoceros in ballet shoes" powered along the touchline to score the winning try against the world champion Australians in front of the biggest crowd in rugby history.
