KEY POINTS:
Wallabies prop Rodney Blake is set to undergo ankle surgery next week which will rule him out for the rest of the Super 14 rugby season, local media reported on Tuesday.
The Queensland Reds front-row forward will play against the Highlanders on Friday before having an operation to remove a bone spur.
The 23-year-old Blake, nicknamed "Rodzilla" after his try-scoring test debut against England last year, is likely to be sidelined for around 10 weeks.
His fellow Australia and Queensland prop Greg Holmes underwent shoulder surgery on Monday, another concern for Wallabies coach John Connolly before this year's World Cup.
