Third division NPC rugby battlers Buller seem set to lose the points from their first win in three seasons and return to the bottom of the points table.
Buller had seven points from a win and a draw with Horowhenua-Kapiti from the competition's first two rounds.
Now they are down to four points, with the New Zealand Rugby Football Union board stripping them of the three points gained for the draw because they fielded three ineligible players.
Buller are likely to be without any points by this weekend when the NZRFU board completes its investigation into a second breach after the 21-14 victory in Westport a fortnight ago.
