KEY POINTS:
Twenty-five players will change provinces ahead of this year's national provincial rugby championship, including a number from Super 14 level.
Veteran Crusaders and Canterbury winger Caleb Ralph will follow in the footsteps of teammate Chris Jack by shifting to Tasman. Teammate and second five-eighth Aaron Bancroft is shifting to Otago but will be replaced in effect by Rua Tipoki, who is heading to Canterbury from North Harbour.
Canterbury lose easily the most players, eight, while Auckland lose the services of four. Northland is the biggest benefactor of the transfer period, with five players heading north, while four players are moving to Taranaki and three to Hawkes Bay.
In other notable moves, Wellington regain the services of lock Bernie Upton from Bay of Plenty and hooker Tone Kopelani from Canterbury.
The transfer period ran from October 1 to May 25. The Air New Zealand Cup kicks off on July 26.
