New Zealand rugby sevens star Declan O'Donnell, who is accused of assaulting two men in a Hamilton pub in January, has been offered diversion.
O'Donnell was originally charged with intent to injure and common assault following an altercation at Hamilton bar The Outback Inn on January 21.
In June he pleaded guilty to common assault but not guilty to injuring with intent and last week the intent to injure charge was reduced to common assault.
He was previously declined diversion because of the latter charge, but after it was downgraded he was eligible for diversion again.
He was today given until November 2 to complete diversion, which would result in no conviction being recorded, the Waikato Times reported.
