The New Zealand sevens team will meet familiar sparring partner Fiji in the semifinals of the Las Vegas leg of the world series tomorrow.

New Zealand breezed through Pool C with wins over France (21-0), Wales (40-5) and Argentina (17-5) and easily accounted for Canada (17-0) in their quarter-final today.

Ben Lam and Belgium Tuatagaloa have been in dominant form for the Gordon Tietjens-coached New Zealanders and have both scored four tries at the tournament.

The Las Vegas tournament is played over three days and Samoa and South Africa will contest the other semifinal tomorrow.

England and Kenya, who played in the final of the Wellington leg last weekend, failed to get out of their pool and went in to the bowl rounds.

New Zealand have a healthy lead in the nine-leg international series and Las Vegas marks the fifth stop on the circuit.

The Kiwis were shorn of DJ Forbes, Kurt Baker and Lote Raikabula this weekend, who are all out with injury.
