New Zealand have advanced to the final at the Las Vegas Sevens after defeating South Africa 20-7 in their semifinal clash this morning.
Series leaders New Zealand were too strong for the defending champions going out to a 15-0 lead at halftime after tries to Bryce Heem, Tomasi Cama and Mark Jackman.
Captain DJ Forbes completed the victory with a barnstorming try in the second half. South Africa scored a consolation try in the final play of the game.
New Zealand will play 2010 winners Samoa in the final after they defeated fellow Pacific Islanders Fiji 14-12. New Zealand last won the Vegas event in 2008.
