South Africa were drawn against Wales, Samoa and Canada.
Portugal, who won their pool in Port Elizabeth, face three tough matches against Fiji, Australia and Scotland.
After three of the nine rounds, defending champions New Zealand lead the standings on 60 points, ahead of France (46), Fiji (44), South Africa (41) and Samoa (39).
