New Zealand has defended its title at the Port Elizabeth leg of the Sevens World Series, beating South Africa 31-26 in the final.
New Zealand led 17-14 at halftime, before the home side scored two unanswered tries to lead 26-17 with four minutes to play.
However two late tries, including the match winner on full-time, gave the men in black their first title of the season and moved them to first equal with Fiji in the overall standings.
