KEY POINTS:
New Zealand have called up Bay of Plenty's Charles Baxter and Southland's Willie Rickards for the final leg of the International Rugby Board sevens tournament at Edinburgh this weekend.
They will replace injured pair Nigel Hunt (knee) and Ben Atiga (hamstring) in the squad who emerged emphatic winners of the London tournament on Monday (NZ time).
Both players have national sevens experience, notably Baxter who has been with the squad for most of the last three years.
Second-placed New Zealand can win the eight-tournament IRB series if they win at Murrayfield this weekend and leaders Fiji fail to reach the semifinals.
In other injury news, Otago lock Tom Donnelly was to join the Junior All Blacks rugby squad today as a temporary replacement for Southland's Hoani MacDonald.
MacDonald, 28, suffered a broken rib during the Junior All Blacks' opening Pacific Nations Cup match against Samoa in Apia on Sunday but is expected to return to the team later in the competition.
The New Zealand team face Fiji in Suva on Saturday.
