The South African Rugby Football Union has denied giving Springbok coach Nick Mallett an ultimatum.
A report on a South African rugby internet site stated that Mallett had been told by SARFU that he would be replaced if he didn't win the final two Tri Nations tests against the All Blacks and Wallabies.
According to the report from a so called "high-placed source within the SARFU executive" former Western Province coach Harry Viljoen was touted as Mallett's possible successor.
However after a meeting with Mallett overnight SARFU says it's satisfied with his interim report and he has their full support.
