Scotland has narrowly averted further defeat on their New Zealand tour, escaping with a 25-all draw in their match against Nelson Bays in Nelson this afternoon.
NPC second-divison champions Nelson Bays outscored the tourists four-tries-to-three, but could not convert a try in the final minute to seal the victory.
Nelson fullback Mark Milne finished with 14 of his team's points, scoring two tries, a conversion and a penalty.
The Scots led 17-12 at halftime.
