Horowhenua-Kapiti eased into the Heartland Lochore Cup rugby final by beating Wairarapa-Bush 37-17 in Levin today.
Their opponents in the final are Poverty Bay, who beat them 36-18 last weekend.
Horowhenua-Kapiti scored five tries to two, with winger Francis Seumaratafa crossing twice to complement the efforts of Bryce Hesselin, Michael Papps and Rob Aloe.
Aloe contributed 17 points in all, with another 12 coming from his boot.
Wairarapa Bush's tryscorers were lock Tomasi Kedrabuka and No 8 Mike Spencer.
Horowhenua-Kapiti led 20-14 at halftime and dominated after the break, but only sealed victory late in the piece when Seumaratafa sprinted close to the length of the field for Aloe to convert.
