PARIS - France prop Sylvain Marconnet has been ruled out until the end of the Six Nations after suffering a serious skiing accident during the weekend.
"Sylvain suffered a double fracture of the shinbone and the fibula in a skiing accident. He will need surgery," France team press officer Lionel Rossigneux said on Sunday.
"He is out until the end of the Six Nations and could be sidelined for up to four weeks," Rossigneux told Reuters.
Marconnet, 30, is France's most capped prop with 71 appearances. He was due to play in France's Six Nations game against England at Twickenham next weekend.
