KEY POINTS:
Former New Zealand under-21 rugby international Robbie Kydd has been named in a 33-man Scotland squad to train ahead of next month's 6 Nations tournament.
The 24-year-old joined English club Northampton last season after recovering from a serious knee injury sustained while training with his former club Saracens.
Kydd, who can play at either fullback or centre, will join the rest of the squad next week for a two day training session ahead of Scotland's opening 6 Nations match against England on February 3.
Coach Frank Hadden said several injuries meant the team would not be at full strength for the Twickenham match, but was excited about the ability of four new players including two forwards and two backs.
