East Coast will not know until today whether their captain, Wirihana Raihania, will be available for the NPC third-division rugby semifinal against Wairarapa Bush in Ruatoria on Saturday.
Raihania was sent off after he allegedly stomped on the head of an opponent during his team's final round-robin match against Horowhenua-Kapiti in Auckland last Saturday.
He is due to appear before a New Zealand Rugby Football Union judicial hearing in Wellington this afternoon.
The NZRFU's independent complaints review officer, Roger Drummond, has decided that North Harbour prop Dean Thompson should receive a written caution after he was cited for alleged foul play in the first-division match against Southland at Albany.
