Peter de Villiers has confirmed he will definitely apply to remain as South Africa's rugby coach.
The outspoken 54-year-old appeared to have stepped down after the World Cup quarterfinal loss to Australia by claiming he had come to the end of the road.
However de Villiers claims his comments were misinterpreted and he has insisted he was referring to the fact that his current deal was due to expire.
And de Villiers has now underlined his desire to extend his stay in charge beyond the end of his contract in December.
He has told South African media that not winning the World Cup makes him feel like there is unfinished business.
