Flanker Juan Smith has ruled himself out of the tournament after sustaining an Achilles injury playing for the Cheetahs during Super Rugby.
Smith says he's got to stop lying to himself and realise he's not ready.
He says he won't be able to give everything and should put his team, teammate and Springbok fans first.
