The Springbok rugby side are fuming at the lack of action taken against All Black No 8 Ron Cribb after he allegedly bit Bok halfback Werner Swanepoel during Saturday's Tri-Nations test at Ellis Park.
Swanepoel was seen afterwards walking with bandaging on his hand but the Bok camp have officially declined to lodge a formal complaint about the incident.
Coach Nick Mallett said he "was aware of the incident" and had left the matter in the hands of the NZRFU "to take whatever action they deem fit."
Yet privately a number of the Boks were fuming over Cribb's aggressive on-field behaviour, especially after a number of incidents where the All Black was involved.
The tension also stems from a punch allegedly thrown by Cribb against Springbok flanker Rassie Erasmus during the sides' last meeting in Christchurch almost a month ago.
