KEY POINTS:
SYDNEY - Stephen Hoiles has edged out David Lyons at No 8 for Australia's Tri-Nations rugby test against South Africa in Sydney on Saturday.
Hoiles' promotion to the starting 15 was one of three changes from the side who beat the All Blacks 20-15 in Melbourne last weekend.
The Brumbies loose forward comes in for the injured Wycliff Palu, winger Mark Gerrard is elevated for the suspended Lote Tuqiri and Adam Freier is in for the injured Stephen Moore.
Sean Hardman, Hugh McMeniman and David Lyons have all been promoted to the bench.
The Springboks are due to announce their team later today.
