Rugby: Auckland lose form flanker

Auckland have lost form flanker Onosai Auva'a for Sunday's provincial rugby clash with Taranaki and maybe for the rest of the season.

Auva'a hyper-extended his leg at training but was expected to return to training yesterday. He arrived but in pain with some severe swelling round his knee. He was sent for an MRI scan on the damage and initial reports were that he would be fortunate to return if Auckland made the playoffs.
