Disgraced former Wallabies winger Andrew Walker is set to resurrect his rugby career after almost serving a two-year ban for using cocaine.
The Queensland Reds are in negotiations with the 32-year-old and are set to offer him a lifeline.
Queensland coach Eddie Jones told The Daily Telegraph discussions were ongoing.
"Walks made a mistake a couple of years ago, he took his penalty, he's done everything he was asked to do. There's no reason why he shouldn't be back playing."
Walker's career came to a halt in 2004 after returning to rugby league with Manly.
