New Zealand face some stern competition in the early stages of the 2006 International Rugby Board under-19 world championship after the pools were released today.
Second seeds and 2004 champions New Zealand face Wales, Japan and then Australia in pool play when the tournament kicks off in Dubai on April 4.
Defending champions South Africa open their campaign against France and will also play England in the pool stages.
