West Coast registered their second win on the road this season with a 15-13 Heartland Championship victory over Horowhenua-Kapiti in Paraparaumu today.
Two tries by flanker Lassa Ulukuta saw West Coast overcome a 3-10 halftime deficit as they kept Horowhenua-Kapiti winless after three outings.
Horowhenua-Kapiti had the better of the first spell, buoyed by a 50m try to Adam Vardey, but came unstuck after the interval as West Coast improved their accuracy.
West Coast controlled play in the last 40 minutes, with Ulukuta's double underlining their dominance as they used their power and weight advantage to subdue Horowhenua-Kapiti's scrum.
The home side missed a chance to snatch the lead when Kupa Higgot failed to land a penalty.
