Wellington rugby coach Jamie Joseph has taken the opportunity to rest some of his stars head of the Air NZ Cup playoffs.
His team for the final round robin match against Otago in Dunedin on Saturday contain a number of notable omissions.
With top qualifiers Wellington already guaranteed a home quarterfinal, Joseph has chosen to rest fullback Cory Jane, form winger Hosea Gear and halfback Piri Weepu.
As well, Ma'a Nonu, returning from All Blacks duty, has been named on the reserves bench.
