The major surprise is in the back-line, with All Black second five Ma'a Nonu again named on the right wing.
The Lions coaches had contemplated moving Nonu back into midfield, but they will instead partner Tamati Ellison with All Blacks centre Conrad Smith, who is promoted from the bench. Tane Tu'ipolotu drops to the reserves.
In the pack, the Lions have gone for mobility in their lose forward trio, with Serge Lilo returning at openside and Rodney So'oialo shifting to No 8, with Thomas Waldrom dropping to the reserves.
