KEY POINTS:
Wellington has found itself in unchartered territory after winning the Ranfurly Shield for the first time in 27 years.
Lock Ross Filipo says the team is ready for the new challenge of being the defender.
He says they have refocused and reminded themselves what they are there for.
Wellington is looking for the perfect rugby season in 2008, with the Shield victory on Saturday taking their record in the Air New Zealand Cup to eight games, eight wins and eight bonus points.
Filipo says there is a great belief in the squad, a lot of trust and they are prepared to do the hard yards.
Wellington host Tasman on Saturday and are hoping to lock the Shield away for the summer.
Filipo says while defending the Shield is brand new territory for this team they can cope with that challenge.
A loss to Tasman would create havoc as the South Island side is set to be relegated to the Heartland Championship, and then split back into Marlborough and Nelson Bays.
