KEY POINTS:
The Wanganui rugby juggernaut rolled out relentlessly on the West Coast today as the unbeaten Meads Cup favourites drubbed their hosts 52-7 in a sodden Greymouth.
Wanganui notched their seventh win on the season - and second in the Heartland Championship's top-tier Meads Cup - with an emphatic eight tries to one demolition job despite wet and greasy conditions hampering play on Rugby Park.
The title favourites made light of the weather, running in tries at will after nippy halfback Denning Tyrell opened the floodgates in the 10th minute.
By halftime the lead had ballooned out to 33-0 thanks to a double to second five-eighth Faapulou Soolefai and tries to Cameron Crowley and Asaeli Tikoirotuma.
West Coast wing Maleli Tora got West Coast on the board though it was to be only scant consolation as the Wanganui pack muscled up to add three more converted tries amongst themselves .
Wanganui 52 (Faapulou Soolefai 2, Denning Tyrell, Peter Rowe, Cameron Crowley, Asaeli Tikoirotuma, Sheldon O'Hagan, Todd Wise tries; Mark Davis 6 con)
West Coast 7 (Maleli Tora try; Corey Simpson con)
