KEY POINTS:
The Tasman Rugby Union (TRU) is staying tight lipped ahead of a New Zealand Rugby Union (NZRU) deadline tomorrow to come up with the money to compete in next season's national championship.
TRU chief executive Peter Barr said this morning no comment would be made until after tomorrow.
The NZRU has already paid Tasman its annual $1.1 million basic grant and loaned the union $340,000 earlier this year.
A further $150,000 in an assistance package for all provinces announced last week still left TRU still short of $250,000 for next year's Air NZ Cup championship.
The NZRU, which rejected a request for more aid from the TRU, granted it until tomorrow to find the money as the 2009 draw had to be finalised this week.
