Rugby: Taranaki five out

Five Taranaki players have been stood down for the Air NZ Cup match against Otago tomorrow for breaching team protocol.

Ace Malo, Ed Jenkins, Chris Walker, Jarrad Hoeata and Baydon Phillips broke the team's alcohol rules after last weekend's loss to Waikato, said Taranaki Rugby Union chief executive Mark Robinson.

They also face disciplinary proceedings.
