Jeremy Parkinson has been appointed chief executive of the Northland Rugby Union (NRU).
Parkinson, who worked for the NRU in 2002 as the rugby development manager and has experience managing several teams, including Northland and New Zealand divisional and age-group teams, will start in the new full-time role in January.
He has most recently been operating his own valuation business in Auckland. He replaces Jim Smillie, who has retired after working for the NRU on a part-time basis for the past two years.
