Counties Manukau Steelers assistant coach Steve Jackson was today named as the new head coach of North Harbour for next season's ITM Cup campaign.
Jackson rejoins the Harbour staff for his second stint having served as a Rugby Development Officer and Commercial Manager during 2003 - 2005.
"The Board is very excited to have a coach of Steve's calibre lead Harbour Rugby in the next chapter as we seek to improve the performance of our ITM Cup team," said North Harbour Rugby Chairman John Morgan.
"Steve is a proven leader on and off the field, and has good recent history of working with high level players, as well as long standing connections here in the Harbour region".
Prior to joining the Steelers in 2010, Jackson served on the coaching staff at the Tasman Makos, was head coach at Marist (Nelson) from 2007 - 2009 and was the Head Coach of Massey Club in 2005.
