Southland skipper Jamie Mackintosh is adamant Southland rugby has nothing to hide despite concerns over the union's financial situation.
The union is said to have blown its squad budget for the 2010 season by more than $130,000 and has copped plenty of criticism.
Mackintosh says CEO Roger Clark has explained the funding process to the players and the issue has been taken too far by the media.
He says they've had the situation clarified and now they want to move on.
Mackintosh says Southland Rugby will release a statement in the coming days which should straighten out the issue.
