Canterbury will have the services of former All Blacks hooker Corey Flynn for the first time this season after he was named on the reserves bench for the match against Wellington in Christchurch on Saturday.
Flynn has been given extra time off by coach Tabai Matson following a tough campaign with the Crusaders and joins a team in form following their two big wins over North Harbour and Auckland.
Matson has made four changes to his starting line-up following the 36-3 victory over Harbour at AMI Stadium.
Prop Joe Moody returns, with Ben Funnell replacing Codie Taylor at hooker. In the backs, Adam Whitelock replaces Robbie Fruean at centre, with wing Patrick Osborne making his first start of the season.
It will be No 8 Nasi Manu's 50th game for Canterbury.
