KEY POINTS:
The seriousness of Andy Ellis' knee injury is yet to be resolved, with the All Blacks halfback bracketed alongside Tyson Keats in the Canterbury team for the Air NZ Cup rugby final against Wellington.
Ellis, who strained knee ligaments during Canterbury's 31-21 semifinal win over Hawke's Bay last Saturday, was to undergo a fitness test later today.
He has been unable to train this week and has been bracketed with Keats for the final in Wellington on Saturday night.
Canterbury have made one enforced change to their starting 15, bringing in wing Sean Maitland on the left flank for James Paterson, who also sustained a knee injury against Hawke's Bay.
Other injury concerns have eased for coach Rob Penney after he was able to name centre Casey Laulala and lock Isaac Ross in the starting 15.
Both were also under knee-related injury clouds.
