KEY POINTS:
Kieran Crowley's reign as Taranaki coach is over after five years in charge.
Crowley said he does not agree with the union's decision to drop him.
He said results were a major factor in the move, as well as the development of players' high performance levels.
Crowley said Taranaki used to box above their weight and were happy with that.
Now, he said, the union has changed that psyche and created a real expectation that they can always do well.
Taranaki finished eighth in the Air New Zealand Cup.
It is understood former Canterbury man Adrian Kennedy, who has had stints with the Stormers in South Africa, Ulster and Northampton, is the new coach.
The Taranaki Rugby Union will not confirm Crowley's replacement as yet.
