Auckland coach Mark Anscombe has made no less than 11 changes to his side for Sunday's Air New Zealand Cup match against Tasman.
Some of the changes came through injury and others through lack of form, following last weekend's loss to North Harbour.
Anscombe said recent performances have not been up to scratch and he had to react.
Among the changes, Peter Saili starts on the openside flank with Chris Lowrey returning at number eight.
Chay Raui makes his debut on the left wing and Winston Stanley teams up with brother Benson in midfield.
Halfback Taniela Moa has been dropped from the 22.
