Nonu set to return for Wellington

The Wellington rugby side is set to welcome back All Black centre Ma'a Nonu .

Nonu has had the cast removed from his broken thumb and resumed full training with the side yesterday.

Assistant coach Chris Boyd says Nonu is among a group of injured backs whose fitness is being assessed by medical staff and who could play some part in this weekend's game against Auckland.

He says the medical guys have assessed Nonu and he is looking better than 50/50, but will have a fitness test later on in the week.
