No early birds are applying for the rejigged 2006 NPC.
Two weeks out from the deadline, the NZRU still has not received a single application from the 27 provincial unions vying for Premier or First Division status.
NZRU Deputy CEO Steve Tew says the unions need to be thorough, so are clearly taking their time.
Tew says they do not anticipate receiving many applications before March 31 because there is plenty of work to be done.
However, the Union has had a signal from 14 unions that they are considering Premier Division status.
Tew says they are positive about the feedback they have received from the different unions regarding their applications.
