All Black flanker Sione Lauaki will face a New Zealand Rugby Union judicial hearing over a tackle in Waikato's Ranfurly Shield loss to Canterbury.
Lauaki has been charged with a dangerous tackle on Canterbury first five-eighths Cameron McIntyre, who was dazed and had to leave the field.
The incident escaped the attention of referee Lyndon Bray. The hearing will be in Wellington tomorrow.
Canterbury retained the shield with a 23-15 win.
