Jackson retires after lengthy NPC career

Veteran lock Steve Jackson yesterday announced his retirement from representative rugby.

Jackson, 32, played more than 80 NPC games after spending six seasons with Southland and a season with North Harbour.

He also represented New Zealand Maori, New Zealand under-19, New Zealand secondary schools and New Zealand under-17 teams.
