Harbour halfback joins Coventry

North Harbour halfback Craig McGrath is joining English division one rugby club Coventry.

The 31-year-old has sat largely on the reserve bench for Harbour in this year's NPC. He was also on the bench for most of the New Zealand Maori team's fixtures this year and was also a fringe Blues contender.

Coventry, who are co-coached by Mike Umaga, brother of All Blacks captain Tana Umaga, lie second last in the National Division One league.

McGrath was to link with the club early next month.
